Squads
The squad is your roster of players for a team. You can add, edit, and remove players at any time, and mark who is available for each game.

Adding a player
- Open your team and tap the Squad tab.
- Tap Add player at the top of the list.
- Enter the player's full name and their jersey number. Jersey numbers are optional β netball squads typically leave them blank.
- Tap Save. The player appears in the active squad list.

Editing a player
Tap a player's row in the squad list to open the edit form. Change the name or jersey number and tap Save.
Removing a player
Open the player's edit form and tap Remove from squad. The player is marked inactive and removed from future lineups. Their historical stats are kept.
Player chips β mixing or grouping kids
Chips are coloured tags you can attach to any player. The lineup suggester reads them when it builds a starting lineup or rebalances at a quarter break. You decide both what each chip means and how the suggester should treat chip-mates:
- Split spreads chip-mates across zones / positions. Use this when you want a mix in every line β for example, label one chip older and another younger, and Siren will put older and younger kids in each zone rather than bunching all the older ones in mid.
- Group keeps chip-mates together. Use this when a player needs to be paired with familiar teammates β for example, a kid with social needs who plays better next to their best mate. Tag both with the same chip and Siren will put them in the same zone where it can.
Step 1 β name your chips
- Open Settings on your team.
- Scroll to the Player chips card.
- For each chip you want to use, type a label (e.g. Older, Younger, Stays with friends) and pick Split or Group.
- Tap Save chip settings.
Leave a label blank to hide that chip slot β only labelled chips appear in the player picker.
Step 2 β tag your players
- Go back to Squad. The chip row now appears in the Add player form.
- For an existing player, tap their row to open the edit form. Pick a chip swatch (or leave it on Any) and tap Save.
- A small coloured dot now appears before the player's name in the squad list, on the lineup picker, on the live-game tile β anywhere they show up.
Setting availability before a game
Before starting a live game, you'll be asked to mark which players are available that day. Only available players are included in the lineup picker and rotation suggestions.
- Open the game from the Games tab.
- Tap Start game. The availability screen appears.
- Tap each player who is present to mark them available.
- Tap Continue to lineup when done.
